POM ANTI‑AGING MODIFICATION

POM has poor inherent weatherability. Long‑term UV exposure causes degradation of mechanical properties, together with surface chalking and cracking. Anti‑aging modification is mainly realized by adding additives such as UV absorbers, light stabilizers and antioxidants to prevent UV‑triggered aging and discoloration of POM.

 

Main Uses Widely applied in outdoor‑service automotive parts, architectural hardware, garden tools, as well as precision‑mechanical housings and sports equipment exposed to sunlight for long periods.
